What happens in a Hypnotherapy session?
Unsure what will happen during your Hypnotherapy session?
Your initial session we will discuss your presenting issues and discuss the
steps we will both take to ensure the best results.
We will discuss what hypnotherapy is and what it can and cant do for you. Modern
Hypnotherapy is very permissive, and puts control back in your hands.
You will then be guided into a hypnotic trance, this experience is different for everyone, it is often said to be a very relaxing and ejoyable experience.
Once in a trance state, your hypnotherapist will
use Strategic Psychotherapy techniques, to make suggestion
to your subconscious mind. During this, you are in control of what
suggestions you take on, and which do not serve you.
Once you return from your trance state, you will be given additional "homework" to do. This is an essential step in the process to ensure long lasting results. This will often include, relistening to a recording of your session daily, for the seven days following your session.
